Be a part of one of the largest hands-on service projects in the Rotary Club of Winnetka-Northfield's 88 year history. On March 22th, we will support Rotary's partnership with the New Trier Township Volunteer Center and Kids Against Hunger to pack 100,000 meals for starving children in Nicaragua.
TWO BIG GOALS NEEDED:
more than 400 volunteers to help pack the food, and
to raise $30,000 to cover the cost of food, packing materials and shipping to Nicaragua.
Food will be distributed to by World Missions Outreach NIC (www.wmoc.org), who feed 15,000 people a day in Nicaragua.
You can help! Volunteer to pack food (see photo above from our 2011 KAH packing event in Winnetka, IL USA). We will operate 12 assembly lines, each requiring ten people for three 2-hour shifts. Please help recruit volunteers and DONATE TODAY TO HELP: $100 provides a nutritious meal to over 350 children.
